New Music Project From Unsigned Artist DD Allen
Emerging artist DD Allen is delighted to announce a collaboration with double platinum selling music Engineer/Producer Mike Spink, who has has worked with the likes of Jake Bugg, The 1975 and The Gaslight Anthem.
Fans are promised a number of bright fresh tracks from DD’s extensive 60-song back catalogue.
Already engaged in pre-production, the team are highly excited about the new material which will hopefully help DD Allen break through into the mainstream.
Spink has taken on the role of plotting a “sonic identity” for the album which will take listeners on a connected journey through the eyes and imagination of a brilliant young songwriter.
“When I listen to the back catalogue I can hear so many ideas and positive things in a lot of these tunes ... some that could be full band arrangements and some more acoustic and stripped back.” Claims Spink.
25-year old DD Allen who hails from Bournemouth in the UK left a promising career as a member of the McLaren P1 build team back in 2013.
He’d started writing songs and quickly became so consumed by the music he knew he had to make a full time commitment.
Live performances at The Larmer Tree Festival, Purbeck Valley Folk Festival and Party In The Park have contributed to a busy schedule which has also seen him support James Blunt on his Moon Landing Tour and even perform for UN General Secretary Ban-ki Moon.
Entering the studio with producer Mike Spink has proved a revelation for the youngster:
“It’s wonderful that someone who has worked with so many successful acts believes in my music and Mike is helping me reach a new level.” Claims DD.
“It’s so exciting for everyone involved in the project and that includes my producer, my band, management, our fledgling label and of course the fans that inspire me to write and perform.”
